    Privacy Policy

    Data protection is important to us and we take it very seriously. We rely on a trusting partnership with you and are trying in all respects to completely satisfy you - this also applies when dealing with your personal data. This Privacy Statement is to inform you about how your personal information is processed and how you can share your personal data with other users. Our Privacy Policy supplements the terms and conditions of the e-learning platform.

    1. General information on the processing of personal data

    We collect, process and use your personal data in compliance with data protection laws of the Federal Republic of Germany and the data protection regulations of the European Union. The information you provide will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent.
    In our organization, compliance with the statutory provisions and this declaration is monitored by our officially authorised Data Protection Officer. The entire platform team is trained in dealing with personal information and is obliged to comply with the data protection regulations.

    2. Nature and scope for the use of data

    We exclusively use your personal data in order to allow you to use the Internet services of the platform that require a registration. Your first and surname are generally visible opposite to other participants. About the visibility of your email address, you can decide yourself. Address details are only visible with your express consent. Details of professional groups are generally not visible to other participants. Non-users of the platform cannot view your personal data.

    3. Storage of your personal data

    3.1 Required information

    To use the functionality of the platform, you must enter some personal data we process and store. You can organize your data under "profile" at any time. You can request the deletion of your data by contacting the system administrator.
    You must provide the following information when registering:

    o    Degree
    o    First name
    o    Surname
    o    Street and house number
    o    Postal code
    o    City
    o    Federal state and country
    o    Gender
    o    Date of birth
    o    Occupational category or job
    o    Email address (will be used as user name)

    The information above is required in order to issue you a certificate at the end of your participation. When you register, you assure under perjury that all information provided is true. Violators will be prosecuted.
    Your username is your email address. Username and password are not visible for other users of the platform. Our employees will never ask for this information. Administrators can always see all the data. Please keep this information confidential and don’t pass them on to third parties. The minimum requirement for your personal password is 8 characters with uppercase and lowercase letters and at least one number. To ensure a higher password security, we recommend you to use numbers and special characters.
    The written documents of your vocational training and professional activities required for the registration will be kept until you have received the certificate. The documents will be returned to the address you have provided. If you break off early, you can reclaim your documents on request.
    With a possible change of operator (see Terms § 2 (6)) your personal data will be passed on to the new operator.

    3.2 Optional information

    Entering all other information is optional, for example to represent yourself to other users of the platform and to exchange minds. You can also set a picture of yourself. This photo must represent an image of your person and must not violate the legal rights of third parties (particularly copyright). Your voluntary information is visible for all other users of the platform. You can revoke your voluntarily shared information at any time in the future by deleting the relevant information from your profile data.

    4. Interaction with other users

    Other users of the platform can send you a private message via the function "Send message". This message will be forwarded to your registered e-mail address if you are not logged in at the time the message is sent. In the forum area you can communicate with other users of the platform.

    5. Deletion of your personal data

    We store your data up to 180 days after the issuance of the certificate. You can terminate your use of the platform at any time by contacting the operator of the platform (see above) and thereby delete your personal data. After the deletion, you will receive a confirmation e-mail to the address you have deposited. Then all your personal data will be deleted, provided that no statutory retention periods prevent this.

    6. Safety measures

    We have implemented extensive precautionary measures to provide the security of your data as a user of the platform. In the areas of the platform, in which personal data are processed, we use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt the data. Our computer systems are protected under the current state of the art against data loss and data abuse.
    Only registered users can work with the platform. Communication with the learning management system while logging in is done via an encrypted and authenticated connection. The courses are protected from their indexing by search engines. For any necessary restoration of the system, a backup with a retention time of 60 days is created.

    7. Links

    This Privacy Policy applies to all captured and processed data on the platform. The platform contains links to other websites. We assume no responsibility for the content of external websites. When leaving the platform, we recommend therefore, to inquire all operators of linked web pages for their Privacy Policy.

    8. Cookies

    To access the platform you must accept cookies. Cookies are identifiers that are stored on the hard disk of the user. Cookies are common with most web sites and allow us to make your use of the platform as comfortable as possible. If you reject the use of cookies, it is not possible to use our site. Sometimes we engage external service providers with analyzing user behaviour on the platform. Our goal is to continuously improve the user experience and find out which areas of our web site attract the most users. In particular we conduct usage analysis purposes with help of Google Analytics. The evaluation conducted with Google Analytics provides us information about the most and least visited pages and directories within the platform, the most widely used navigation paths and the places from which access is made to the platform and the average time that visitors spent on the platform. Google Analytics uses the IP to identify contiguous browser sessions. These data are collected anonymously and do not allow any conclusion on individual users of the platform.

    9. Log-Files

    Individual actions within Moodle are recorded in the log data with time, IP address, user name and action (bases). Anonymised reports for statistical purposes can specifically be requested by the operator (see above). The activity "testing" will store the following data, which can be retrieved by the educational leaders: the period of execution of the test (beginning and end), the time consumed and the evaluation results of the test.
    We also use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, make improvements for the use of the site and collect a range of general demographic data. We would like to point out that in addition to the data you entered, the IP address from which you visit our website, will be stored and used if necessary to ensure claims and evidence. Another use of the IP address data does not occur. The length of storage of log data is up to 31.12.2011.

    10. System administration

    System administrators have access to all resulting data within the learning management system. You may only make use of it in a narrow context of your tasks. These tasks include managing the logon and logoff process, the issuance of a certificate, the log data analysis and the evaluation of tests.
